That's Oreo on the left. I bought Oreo from All Breeds Pets in late Dec 99 & as of April 2004, Oreo is about 4 years 11 months old. Her age is estimated by Melissa since the petshop had no idea when she was born. She's a Tri-coloured with Peruvian blood and has brown & white fur & 2 dark brown patches around her eyes. Those patches look like Oreo cookies, hence her name! The nicknames I've given Oreo are Hairball, Big Head, Grandma & Fuzzy Wuzzy.

She barely makes any noise at all which makes me believe she's mute! Even Dr Ling says its possible. Only once or twice have I heard her wheek. Oreo is the easiest to handle when bathed or having her nails cut 'cos she keeps absolutely still when taken out of the cage.

Teddy is an Agouti Abyssinian whom I bought from Melissa on 11 Mar 2000. She was born on 5 Jan 2000 so that makes her 4 years 7 months as of April 2004. Teddy's fur is mostly a very dark brown with a bit of white near the butt & hind legs. Like all Agoutis, her fur has a very nice shine. Her fur reminds me of a teddy bear's fur hence her name. Teddy is also affectionately known as Fatty, Fatso, Fat One, Tubby, Big Butt & Wheek Wheek.

Teddy is the first to wheek when she smells food. She's also the clumsiest & has been seen toppling over when scratching herself too vigorously. She's like a camel & drinks tons of water before going long periods without any. Also the laziest 'cos she lies down when drinking & eating! Teddy is the first cavy to learn how to stand on her hind legs to beg for food. Tends to struggle a bit when having her nails cut but that's solved by bribing her with food.
